Dr. Gregory Johns was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego and his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada. Deciding to stay in the southwest, Dr. Johns completed his internal medicine residency and a one year chief residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. After practicing in Tucson for 3 years, Dr Johns moved to Phoenix where he has been practicing for the last 14 years. He joined Internal Medicine of Arizona in 2008.

Dr. Johns is board certified in Internal Medicine. As an internist or internal medicine doctor, he is a specialist in adult medical problems. This includes acute illness or injury, chronic medical conditions and preventative care. Dr. Johns believes strongly in listening to and working with the patient to understand their concerns and best treat their health concerns.

Dr. Johns is married and has three wonderful children. His life outside of medicine is devoted to his family and spending time with his children. His wife is also a physician and works full-time as a successful Obstetrician/Gynecologist. In his free time, he is an avid runner and hiker.
