IMA has an onsite Radiology facility with a full time Radiology Technician available during office hours to assist your physician with diagnosis when radiographic studies are deemed necessary. IMA contracts with Board Certified Radiologists to interpret and issue written reports on all of the x-rays taken at IMA.

DEXA Bone Density scans and DXA Body Composition also available on-site.

Preparations

You may be asked to remove all jewelry, removable dental appliances, eye glasses and any metal objects or clothing that might interfere with the x-ray images.

Inform your tech of any recent illnesses or allergies prior to your bone densitometry exam. Women should always inform their tech if there is any chance they could be pregnant.
