Dr. Alan Andresen was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska then his family moved to Tempe, Arizona. He went to McClintock High School and graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Microbiology.
Dr. Andresen received his Medical Degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico, completed his Internship at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. He was also the Chief Resident in Family Medicine at York Hospital.
Dr. Andresen has worked in both the Primary Care and Acute Care Clinics at Arizona State University Health Center. In addition, he has been an Adjunct Instructor in Medicine, Mayo Clinic for the last 20 years. Dr. Andresen provides comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages by treating the whole patient focusing on integrated care. At Internal Medicine of Arizona he will treat patients ranging from age 13- geriatric.
In his spare time he enjoys hiking, swimming, golf and spending time with his family.
