Dr. Cory Buschmann finds deep fulfillment in helping patients maintain health and wellness through holistic, coaching-focused preventative care and lifestyle management. He specializes in executive healthcare, geriatric healthcare, and the healthcare of athletes—professional, retired, and weekend warriors. He performs joint injections and removes skin lesions, lumps, and bumps. He believes that comprehensive primary care promotes optimal health and prevents unnecessary illness and hospitalizations.
Dr. Buschmann grew up in Chanhassen, Minnesota and received his Bachelor of Science in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development at the University of Minnesota. At the University of Minnesota Medical School, he received a student achievement award, was voted president of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honors Society, and was recognized by the Minnesota Academy of Family Medicine, as well as the Minnesota Department of Health for HPV vaccine research performed as a research grant recipient. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine–Phoenix. He distinguished himself during training as an advocate for the development of personal and organizational wellness. During residency he founded “Leadership Development for Residents”, a comprehensive nine-month course that has been delivered to hundreds of resident physicians at the University of Arizona College of Medicine—Phoenix and Tucson campuses.
Dr. Buschmann and his wife, Lisa, a full-time obstetrician/gynecologist, enjoy their two children, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Buschmann enjoys an active lifestyle that includes mountain biking, cycling, running, and watersports.
